Underwater UXO clearance should only be conducted in areas that have shown significant safety or socio-economic impact because of the Explosive ordnance. For areas that are assessed to have little or no impact, additional risk should not be assumed to conduct clearance operations. In this case Explosive Ordnance may be left in place and mitigation options developed to limit interaction with the UXO.
Developing a clearance or mitigation plan should involve analysing site-specific data to determine the type of action warranted. In some cases, it may be appropriate for a combination of methods to be used.
Our expertise covers desk study, geophysical survey, WROV inspection, target excavation and relocation, with options for Explosive Ordnance neutralisation. Our differentiators are the ability to supply all offshore aspects using a single, cost-effective DP2 vessel, and to be able to service shallow water and special situation clearances. UXOcontrol has an extensive track record of UXO projects with a high percentage of repeat business underlining our focus on excellence in delivery.
UXOcontrol is now wholly owned by the N-Sea Group and continues to support the offshore industry through the delivery of UXO Risk Management. This includes the development of practical strategies for dealing with ERW and CBRNe on land and underwater.
UXOcontrol is 100% owned by the N-Sea Group
